Social Research Methods (SOC380)

Fall 2020: This term, the course will be completely online and mostly asynchronous. We will have a weekly synchronous class session (using Zoom) on Wednesdays from 11:00-11:50am, but most of the work in this course will involve asynchronous online activities using Moodle (for quizzes, discussion forums, wiki work, &tc.), R and RStudio. (Some additional online resources may be used, such as Google Jamboards and Google Sheets, and students are expected to have/use MS Excel as well.)

Many of the required texts (articles, book chapters, videos, &tc.) for this class will be available online through Moodle and the library, but each student is also required to buy or borrow the following texts:
